You don't need to be a genius...

Just DON'T do something stupid

Life is more about minimizing regrets than it is about reaching some incredible highs.

In other words, NOT doing something stupid is more important than being a genius.

As societies advance, society becomes safer and opportunities become more abundant, no matter how it may seem.

With that in mind, why not take more risks?

The entrepreneur Naval Ravikant once spoke about the over-exaggeration of failure in the business world:

“Luckily, in modern society, there’s no more debtor’s prison and people aren’t imprisoned or executed for losing other people’s money.”

And while Naval was speaking about taking business risks, the same applies to life in general:

If you screw up, you’re NOT going to the Gulag.

Unless you hurt others physically or scam them, you’re free to take all the risks that are worth it to you.

You will face the consequences if you fail, but they will never be so severe that you won’t be able to get back up and try again.

The worst that can happen? You lose some money, time, or effort.

With this floor for failure in mind, your appetite for risks will be better adjusted to answer the all-important question:

“Will I regret it if I don’t try this?”
